My week of fashion began on Tuesday night at Tootsies for a “Night of Couture” benefiting Fashion Delivers. With tunes by DJ Brandon Olds and a fashion show produced by Rhonda Sargent Chambers which featured models from the Clutts Agency adorned in Haute Hippie, Alice & Olivia, Halston Heritage, Nicole Miller and Monique Lhulillier!
Thursday night presented the Nha Khanh Fall 2011 Fashion Show at the Hall of State. The venue, music and theme of the night brought back the 1920′s Vaudeville motif with a modern day twist. Think long sheer skirts, low cut backless dresses with lace and satin galore.
Friday night the Casa Habana party benefiting Ronald McDonald House brought Cuban flair with an Old Hollywood twist. Held at the infamous Ritz Carlton, this event did not disappoint…with fabulous Spanish food, tunes by DJ Lucy Wrubel, and a silent auction to die for!
The FASHIONISTAS rocked the runway with designs by Prashe. Designer Prashi Shah brought bold patterns with a boho chic feel and hand-embroided bright-colored dresses adorned with Swarovski crystals and Indian Zari work on fine silks, brocades and tulle. The show even featured a parakeet, a Tibetan terrier, and a princess-type carriage brought on the runway by seemingly good looking male models (i.e. local celebrity Matt Nordgren). Plus they were filming for the upcoming reality sitcom Dallas’ Most Eligible!
All in all a great week in fashion!
Where Wear will I be next….
Awaiting the next fashion show,
