As if her Superbowl performance wasn’t enough, the rocking 53-year-old entertainer is making yet another musical splash by hitting the road for her 2012 World Tour! Exciting!!!!

Her tour will play arenas, stadiums, unique outdoor sights, and will visit multiple European stops before hitting North American stateside beginning August 28.

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale beginning Monday (February 13) and will be available at Ticketmaster.com and Livenation.com.

Mockingbird Station Debuts First Outdoor Spring Concert Series

Spring Concert Series featuring local bands starts Thursday, March 1

DALLAS (Feb. 22) – On Thursday, March 1, Mockingbird Station will present its first Spring Concert Series, a free outdoor music series on the Mezzanine Level in front of the Angelika Dallas Film Center. The series will feature a diverse lineup of local artists from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, beginning with Club Wood on March 1. The performances, aimed at the after-work crowd and suitable for all ages, will begin at 6 p.m., adding to an already vibrant schedule of activities at the Station throughout the season.

The Spring Concert Series will be held the first and third Thursday of every month, from 6 to 9 p.m., through July 5. The lineup will feature the following local musicians:

March 1: Club Wood

March 15: Devin Leigh

April 5: Greg Reichel

April 19: The O’s

May 3: Aaron Woods Band

May 17: Mockingbyrd Station

June 7: SouthWestern Playboys

June 21: Achachay!

1st Annual Dallas Stiletto Stampede for the Cure

Calling all females, males, runners, walkers and stampeders! The 1st Annual Stiletto Stampede for the Cure benefiting Susan G. Komen Dallas County will make its way to Dallas on Thursday, May 26th from 6:30-8:30pm at Tootsies.

The Stiletto Stampede for the Cure is a high heel 100-yard dash with a mission to encourage young women and men to understand the risks of breast cancer and empower them to prevent the disease by utilizing overall breast self-awareness through early detection and screening methods. This year’s event will compete for a Guinness Book of World Record for 1,000 persons in high heels.

The first 1,000 registrants will receive a commemorative pair of pink stilettos. The Nchantment Breast Cancer Awareness Shoe was created by Lauren Jones Footwear, designed by Nchantment Image Consultant Darla Parsons. All participants will receive a commemorative Guinness Book of World Records event medallion, race tank and a goodie bag stuffed with treasures.

Stiletto Stampede is in partner with FIAT, IdealHeel, D Magazine, Tootsies, Where Wear in the City and francisco+co.
